Tamar Grow Local

Welcome to Tamar Grow Local.

We are a Community Interest Company promoting sustainable local produce in the Tamar Valley.

The Tamar Valley has a long history as a centre for food and flower production, which characterised its distinctive landscape. This is also very relevant in today's changing climate to sustain both the landscape and community.

Coming soon the 2010 Strawberry festival.

Strawberries are synonymous with the Tamar Valley. The strawberry rush began with the arrival of the railway to the area 150 years ago, when the earliest and best strawberries in the country could be delivered to markets such as Covent Garden and even to Scotland in twenty four hours.

Help us to celebrate this heritage and enjoy the taste of fresh strawberries in their prime, at the peak of the season from local growers.

Good for you and good for the environment.
