Tamar Valley Honey Co-operative

Under the initiative of Tamar Grow Local, an open meeting of local beekeepers was held in August 2011 The outcome has been the setting up of The Tamar Valley Honey Co-operative.

This not-for-profit co-operative has been initiated for beekeepers in the Tamar Valley (Devon & Cornwall) to:

1. Provide a facility to access new markets for honey and bee-related products

2. Provide expertise and training in legislation on production, packaging and labelling

3. Purchase beekeeping consumables in bulk and distribute to its members in smaller quantities at affordable prices

We're a co-operative run by its members for its members and you're very welcom to join us...we don't sting!  This is a new community enterprise and your input is essential to make it work, so if you'd like to start keeping bees, or you'd like someone else to keep bees on your property, or you're interested in buying any of our lovely honey products, contact Dave Ledger at tamarvalleyhoneyco-op@hotmail.co.uk

Come and join the buzz in the Valley!
