Tamar grow local are working with local communities to try and increase the ammount of garden waste that can be recycled locally.
Most garden waste can be used to produce a good quality compost, which can then be used as a community resource, or distributed amongst composting community group members. There are a number of ways to organise a community composting project. Perhaps the most straight forward is to work with a local farmer who already has a composting licence and some of the equipment and space that is needed.
