Harrowbarrow and Metherell Agricultural society was formed in 2009 and is based upon the community supported agriculture model which means we grow a lot of vegetables together in a communally supportive and sustainable way.
We cultivate about six acres of land belonging to local farmer James Tancock. James does a lot of the hard work with his machinery and another local farmer plants our potatoes for us.
Our aim is to grow as many different types of good quality, fresh produce as cheaply as possible. We know where our food has come from, it can be on your plate within a few minutes of picking and you can keep fit in the process!
