Tamar Harvest Community Festival.

Sunday September 12th from 11.30am - 4.30pm at Cothele Quay


Help us to celebrate this heritage and enjoy the taste of harvest with seasonal produce from local growers.

Following the success of last year’s event, Tamar Grow Local in conjunction with the National Trust will be running this again to celebrate local produce in the Tamar Valley!


This is open to anyone in the Tamar Valley, and children or schools are also encouraged to enter. It is intended to be fun and will be judged on quality, presentation and creativity.


Main prizes include, 'Best overall' and 'Runners up', with other prizes for the winners of each category.


  1. Mixed cut flower collection (displayed in a vase)
  2. Mixed salad collection (displayed in a bowl)
  3. Mixed root vegetables
  4. Mixed herbs
  5. Mixed fruit collection
  6. Tastiest tomato
  7. Tastiest carrot
  8. tastiest raspberries / strawberries
  9. Best Brassica
  10. Best Beans
  11. Biggest Pumpkin
  12. Biggest Marrow
  13. Vegetable animals / heads (Children and schools)
  14. Biggest sunflower
  15. Novelty produce (unusual shapes / crops)
  16. Heritage category - local varieties (any fruit or vegetable)
  17. Wildfood category (produce or edible product)

Judging will be between 3pm and 3.30pm. Entries should be made by 2.30pm at the latest. All entries should be clearly marked with a contact name and details and category (Forms will also be provided at the event). Prizes should be collected from 4pm or other arrangements made.
